Sensible Financial Joins Mass Innovation Nights For a Night of FinTech Innovation

by
Rick Miller
Ph.D., CFP® - Founder

October 19, 2017

Sensible Financial team members Rick Fine, Chris Andrysiak and Rick Miller recently served as experts at Mass Innovation Nights (#MIN102), a monthly gathering featuring startups and local innovators. The theme for the event was financial technology and financial literacy, and included 13 startups with exciting new fintech products. The financial literacy theme tied in nicely with Sensible’s mission to provide education around investing and help customers develop the financial confidence that comes with knowing how much they can spend and how much they should save.

Sensible Financial Mass Innovation Nights

The event took over Boston’s District Hall, and over 200 attendees showed up to meet the startups and other experts like ourselves. One of the highlights of the night was hearing from Massachusetts State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg, who spoke during the presentation portion of the evening. She outlined the many ways in which Boston and Massachusetts have made themselves an attractive home for investors, startups and those looking to innovate in financial technology.

Overall, it was a night of learning about the many exciting new breakthroughs (such as blockchain technology) that are changing finance. There was plenty of energy from a crowd that was eager to learn. We were pleased to share Sensible Financial’s expertise on financial literacy. Our advisers are experienced in successfully navigating life’s financial issues and opportunities. We offer monthly articles on our blog, Sensible Perspectives, with guides, advice and helpful tips on a broad range of personal finance topics.
