As a provider of investment advice, Sensible Financial registers with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The SEC establishes rules and monitors Sensible Financial’s compliance with those rules. In addition, we register (“notice file”) with state Securities Commissions in states where we have more than a minimal amount of business.
Sensible Financial’s regulatory history is available online at Investment Adviser Public Disclosure website (Click the link and key-in "Sensible Financial").
Anyone who expresses interest in our investment management services or retains us to provide investment management services receives our Form ADV Part II as mandated by the SEC. We’d be happy to send you a copy.
As a Certified Financial Planner™, Rick Miller is subject to the CFP Board’s code of conduct.
Sensible Financial is affiliated with the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Personal Advisors (NAPFA), both of which have codes of conduct. Neither of these organizations has legal regulatory authority, however.
Of course, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your relationship with us, we hope you will bring it to our attention immediately.
In addition, if you are dissatisfied with our service, you may file a formal complaint with the SEC, your state securities commission, the CFP Board, the FPA, and NAPFA.
